History
We are a group of former students and employees of the University of the Philippines System based in Dallas Fort Worth Area.
The idea started in 2016 when UP alumni Sunny, Carlos, and Rob planned to send out invites to a simple gathering at Sunny's bed and breakfast place. The gathering eventually happened post Covid, after conversations with Houston's UP alumni group.
The group, now named UPAADFW, reaches out to former students and employees of the UP system, bound by University values and setting out to make a difference in the DFW area. We've contributed to Metrocrest drives, typhoon victims in Bohol, and sponsored UP events in the Philippines.
Mission
To foster a sense of community among former
UP students who live in the North Texas area:

To be a platform to provide support and give back to our alma mater,

To provide a support system to former UP students who are new to the North Texas area,

To provide networking opportunities, and

To represent the UP community in outside events.
